New MIO liquid oxygen and methane engine, developed by Avio in the context ofthe Vega E (Vega Evolution) program promoted by the European Space Agency. Tue prototype under test is a scale model of the higher stage engine that will equip the Vega E launcher starting from 2024. The engine under test was entirely made in additive manufacturing, using advanced laser technologies for three-dimensional printing.
